S.P.Y.C.E.
We are an Orthodox christian social youth group for children ages 7 years to 18 years. Our aim is to educate our youth about our faith and talk about other important issues concerning our youth. We play games perform role plays and go on many outings like the movies and indoor rock climbing. At present we have two groups, check the roster on this page and we hope you can come to any of our meetings.
Fundraisers: It would be greatly appreciated if all parents can please support us with the decorating of candles, the making of cakes and helping us to prepare for our stall which will be for Saint Paraskevi's celebration. Thank you for all your on-going support.

2011 Roster for Group 1 (7 years – 12 years)
Sunday 20 February : Picnic at Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Road, Doonside (Wren area) from 10am.
Friday 4 March : First meeting at Church hall, 7pm – 9pm. We will be talking about our faith, topics that relate to the age group. We also will be decorating Easter candles and play some games.
Friday 1 April : Special Easter service (heretismi, service to our Theotokos) 7pm – 8:30pm at Saint Paraskevi Church, Blacktown. Both group 1 and group 2 of S.P.Y.C.E. will be attending this service.
Sunday 3 April : Fundraiser: Selling Easter candles
Friday 15 April : Clean Church before Easter from 8am to 11am. We need your help to maintain our Church and you will be blessed for coming along that morning, both groups are invited.
Sunday 1 May : Fundraiser: Cake Stall after Church
Friday 13 May : Outing to Blacktown bowling 7:30pm to meet and to bowl at 8pm.
Friday 10 June : Meeting at Church hall, 7pm – 9pm. We will be talking about our faith, topics that relate to the age group. We will do some craft and role plays.
Thursday 7 July : Outing to Blacktown movies meet there 10am and we will decide what movie we are going to watch.
Sunday 31 July : Fundraiser: Stall at Saint Paraskevi's Feast celebration selling gifts and lucky dips
Friday 5 August : Meeting at Church hall, 7pm – 9pm. We will be talking about our faith, topics that relate to the age group. We will be playing board games so could everyone please bring a game along that night.
Friday 9 September : Meeting at Church hall, 7pm – 9pm. We will be talking about our faith, topics that relate to the age group. Everyone is invited to bring along something for show and tell. Also that night being our last hall meeting we will be organising the Kris-kindle for our Xmas party.
Sunday 11 September : Spring picnic at Nurragingy Reserve after Church.
Thursday 6 October : Outing to Stanhope Pools meet there 10am.
Sunday 16 October : Fundraiser: Cake Stall after Church
Sunday 13 November : Christmas party at Casuarina Area, Nurragingy Reserve, Knox Road, Doonside after Church.

Thursday 10 March : Meeting at Church hall, 7pm – 9pm. We will be talking about our faith, topics that relate to the age group. We will also be decorating Easter candles. Please note that our first meeting for the year is on a Thursday, sorry to inconvenience anyone it is just a one off.
Friday 1 April : Special Easter service (heretismi, service for our Theotokos) 7pm – 8:30pm at Saint Paraskevi Church. Both S.P.Y.C.E. groups will be attending this service.

Friday 24 June : Meeting at Church hall, 7pm – 9pm. We will be talking about our faith, topics that relate to the age group. We will also get the gifts and lucky dip prizes ready for Saint Paraskevi stall.
Thursday 14 July : Outing to lunch to Panarottis on level 4 at Blacktown WestPoint at 11:30am.
